Join the two Frankenmuth Rotary Clubs with a Watershed Cleanup project.  This community and environmental event will be held on Saturday morning, April 27th.

We will be removing trash from ditches in the area.  Those ditches are one of the first links in the overall Saginaw Bay Watershed.

On the 27th arrive at Heritage Park as between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM for instructions and trash bags.

We need volunteers!

Contact Ed Foltz at if you have any questions.  During the registration process you will print a waiver form to bring to the event and order your volunteer T-Shirt while supplies last.

Upon arrival at Heritage Park the morning of the event, you’ll receive maps, gloves (or bring your own), and trash bags.  You may then proceed to your assigned 1 mile road section.  Participants will return filled trash bags in their vehicles to large dumpsters in Heritage Park back by the Woodcarver’s Building.

Volunteers will be given a one (or two mile) section to pick up trash in the ditch for 2-3 hours. Dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. High waterproof boots and work gloves are recommended. A long handled rake is helpful for deeper water filled ditches.  Wear bright clothing or your own safety vest.

Utilizing a pickup truck or trailer is helpful to bring the trash back to the collection site.

You’ll walk both sides of the road for a total of 2 miles.

This can be a great family service activity, or group activity.

Please review the Volunteer Waiver Form available on the left side of the website.  Print copies for those participating, bringing completed forms with you the morning of April 27th.
