It's been 100 years since our club was born. Thank you all for your continued support and dedication.  It is truly admirable what our organization has been able to do for our community and communities abroad. January 25th Meeting
Our speaker next week will be our very own District Governor Craig Burnett.  This meeting will be via Zoom at our regular meeting time, Noon.  
Craig joined the Rotary Club of Oshkosh Southwest in 1999 and has served in a variety of board and committee roles since then, including the presidency in 2008-09.  He served as Assistant Governor for the 5 Oshkosh and Fond du Lac Rotary clubs from 2015-2018.  Over his decades in Oshkosh, he has also served in a wide range of non-Rotary volunteer leadership roles within the community.  At present, he serves as a volunteer conflict mediator for the Winnebago Conflict Resolution Center, is on the board of  directors of his community's 137 year-old performing arts theater The Grand Oshosh, and is a co-producer of the TEDxOshkosh conference.
 
Please plan on attending this meeting to learn more about our district governor and what other clubs are doing to keep Service Above Self alive during the current pandemic.

Fundraising Updates:
Pancake Festival:  The traditional in person Pancake Festival that we all know and love is going to be on pause for 2021.  The committee, however, has been meeting and is going ahead with plans to hold a drive-thru pancake festival, combining our efforts with those of Hotcakes On The Go.   A very tentative date has been set for April 17.  You will be kept up to date on how this project progresses and any changes along the way. 
 
BluesFest:  You may have read in the Waukesha Freeman that the 2021 BluesFest is a "go."  The BluesFest Committee and the WRC Board of Directors will be watching conditions of the current pandemic and vaccine progress before making a final determination (just like last year).  The BluesFest committee is meeting regularly, and we are hopeful that we can move ahead with our plans.
Membership:  
The power of our club lies in our members.  As you go about your daily encounters with other people (yes, Zoom counts!), please remember to be on the lookout for individuals who would be able to make meaningful contributions to our club via membership.  Keep in mind also, that our club offers a corporate membership in addition to individual memberships.  If you would rather have someone from our membership contact someone, please talk to Brad Wells (brad.wells@usbank.com) or Steve Otten (Steve.Otten@lindengrove.org)
