I am writing to you on behalf of the Waukesha Rotary Club. One of my pleasures as a member of this outstanding organization is to invite other people in the community to join me in service above self.
Rotary is an International service organization of business and professional men and women who have reached a point in their lives where they can and want to do good things to improve the world, our nation and our community.
Rotary supports international peace scholars, humanitarian projects such as clean water, schools in parts of the world where education almost doesn’t exist, hospitals and clinics in badly needed areas of developing countries, and has been working with the UN and governments around the world on the eradication of polio.
Our Waukesha Rotary Club works on various projects throughout the year to fund non-profit community organizations that support:
- Arts and culture
- Basic needs, such as food, clothing and shelter
- Children, youth and families
- Reducing isolation of the elderly and maintaining independent living for them
- Employment and training
- Educational enrichment activities beyond the core curriculum
- Environmental conservation, restoration and education
- Assisting individuals who lack basic access to health care
- Assisting persons with physical or mental disabilities, including addictions
