Waukesha Rotary Club Provides Kits
for Hebron Housing Services
Members of the Waukesha Rotary Club prepared cleaning and food kits for Hebron Housing Services. The Waukesha Rotary Club was awarded a Rotary International District grant. Additional donations were made by the Rotaract Club of Carroll University, Kwik Trip and Target. Funding was used to purchase non-perishable lunch items and cleaning materials. Rotary members assembled “grab and go lunch kits” for homeless clients and “clean-day kits” for Hebron Housing Services’ properties. Clean Day kits are used to keep shelter properties clean and sanitized.
The current Covid-19 epidemic has resulted in increased requests for client services and additional work to keep facilities sanitized. The crisis has also caused a staff shortage. Purchasing materials and assembling kits is expensive and time-consuming. Rotary’s efforts allowed Hebron staff to focus on their clients.
Hebron Housing Services provides emergency, short-term shelter and long-term housing solutions to individuals and families in need. Hebron Housing Annual Gala event will be held virtually on November 7 and will honor Hebron founder Bernie Juno. Tickets can be obtained online.
