Democracy Found: Nonpartisan Political Innovation in Wisconsin
May 10, 2021
Many Americans are horrified about the dysfunction and abysmal results from Washington, D.C., but feel hopeless and disengage. Democracy Found takes a unique approach—using the Gehl Porter Politics Industry Theory, which applies traditional tools of business analysis to politics and highlights the unhealthy system of political competition—to create a diverse, nonpartisan coalition of leaders committed to reinvigorating our democracy through open, top-five primaries and instant runoff voting in the general election (Final-Five Voting). This presentation raises awareness of the underlying analysis and provides a nonpartisan call to action in Wisconsin, for the sake of our democracy. *** Democracy Found is a Wisconsin-based initiative committed to revitalizing democracy. By implementing a system wherein the top five candidates are selected from the primary ballot and instant runoff voting is used in the general election, we will ensure politicians are held accountable for delivering results. This, in turn, will renew each other’s belief that every vote counts and every voice is heard. For more information, visit www.DemocracyFound.org. |

Jul. 12, 2021 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Hi Everyone -
We are excited to start meeting in person on Monday. I met with the caterer today to help with set-up and take-down plans. We are all set!
The big Question! How many members to prepare lunch for??? I gave them the number 25 but honestly, it's been a while and I am not sure. I would feel horrible if we ran out of food on our first day back. :(
So, could you please indicate "accept" or "decline" on whether or not you intend to be at Monday's meeting? I only have until tomorrow (Friday) to adjust the number.
Grateful for your help with this!
Colleen

Oct. 09, 2021 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Our Club’s table will be set-up inside the City Hall. As part of the City of Waukesha’s 125th Anniversary celebration, we are hosting various events throughout the year, and one event being held in October is “Waukesha Unlocked.” Waukesha Unlocked will be similar to Doors Open Milwaukee where the general public will have the opportunity to get unique “behind the scenes” tours of Waukesha businesses, properties and organizations. The event dates are Saturday, October 9 and Sunday, October 10, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The City of Waukesha has impressive service organizations that have tremendous historic importance to the community. We’d like to showcase the service clubs at the new City Hall during the event on Saturday, October 9, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The Waukesha Noon Rotary Club is invited to engage the attendees with a craft or activity and information about your club. We’d like the attendees to come away understanding more about the contributions each service club makes in the community and the world. |
