CHANGE OF TIME/LOCATION

REMINDER:  The location of our September 14th meeting(THIS FRIDAY) will be at Swallow Elementary School, W299N5614 County Hwy E, Hartland, WI 53029.  Our start time will be at noon that day.  We will begin with an information session about the referendum, then have a tour of the school, followed by lunch and a social at 12:30.
HARTLAND BUSINESS TRICK OR TREAT

community service opportunity

It's that time of year!  Our services have been requested by the Hartland Chamber to assist in this year's Business Trick or Treat, which will be held on the evening of Thursday, October 25 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  Our job that night will be to help the police department guide our little ghosts and goblins safely across the streets.  Afterwards, join your fellow club volunteers for a treat at a yet to be determined location.  There will be a sign up sheet at the next few club meetings.  We only need 2 more volunteers for this activity, so sign up soon.
SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

HIGHWAY C CLEANUP PLANNED

One of our favorite service projects is our Hwy. C cleanup, which we schedule twice a year.  The next one is scheduled for October 3rd.  We need 10 people to meet at the Red Circle Inn at 5:00 pm.  We'll clean up that highway and meet for refreshments after at the Red Circle Inn.  Please reply to this email if you'd like to be included in this activity or sign up at a Friday meeting.  Thank you in advance for your help.
COME AND JOIN US

The next meeting of our Board of Directors will be held Thursday, SEPTEMBER 20TH.  We meet at 7:30 am and usually end around 9:00 am at North Shore Middle School,  800 E N Shore Dr in Hartland.   Red Star members - this is the perfect opportunity to check off one of your requirements for removing your red star and for learning more about our club's many activities.  "Old" members welcome as well.

SHOW YOUR ROTARY SPIRIT

Great Selection - Easy to Order

Want to look great and promote our club at the same time?  Lands End has our logo ready to go on any of their shirts. You pick the style and color - they embroider the logo.  It's that simple!  Go to https://business.landsend.com/store/lcrotary  New users will have to set up an account.
THANK YOU

YOUR KINDNESS IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

I just want to take up a little space here to thank everyone for their cards, emails, kind words of support and memorials made on behalf of my brother, Mike.  Mike was a veteran of the US Air Force and a Milwaukee Police Officer for 25 years. Although he was not a Rotarian, he certainly knew the meaning of "Service Above Self."  He would be happy to know that his life lived in service to others is being continued in his name.  Thank you again for everything!     ~ Colleen
