August 22^nd will be the visit from our District Governor Sherry Chamberlain – the Board will be meeting with Sheri at 10:30 at the Days Inn Boardroom before our regular lunch meeting

 

Lunch from the Days Inn will now be served around 11:50 so feel free to come early and get your lunch started so we can start our meetings at 12 noon

 

Victor Sprancis was inducted as a new member today – Welcome Victor!

 

Our speaker today was  Kerri Haybittle-Raffel from the Penticton Airport who spoke about airport changes and the future.

 

RLI – This is YOUR chance to go to Leadership training – it is happening in Vernon on September 8/9^th – our club has allotted $ under training for people to attend this – see Peter Graham if you would like to attend

 

  Sherriff – Barb was our Sherriff today and fined Hume for reaching,  Randall for not enough corn at the barbecue, Ben for his socks, Keith for the name game at the BBQ, Tracy for sucking up to the Sherriff, and everyone for the lack of Oh Canada singing

 

  Happy Sad – Sandra was happy that the pop-up bar for Barbs grad reunion made $885, Gord was happy his grandkids were in town for his grandsons hockey school , Linda was happy to have been to see her grandkids, Barb was happy about TGIF, Milton was happy to have been in clear air in Winnipeg, Roy was happy to report that Norma Brown was in good health after her spill at the BBQ, George was happy to report that he can attend TGIF as it is 432 steps from his place, Sandra said that Monday, August 20^th the Sweden boy arrives at 7 pm, Peter was happy that the Hawaiian shirt theme is still going.

 

 

  We did a 50/50 draw for $191.50 and Arnie Herle got the chance to draw the joker but did not win.  Arnie will be Sherriff next week.

 

We had a FABULOUS time at the Annual Rotary BBQ at Peter Grahams
