Greetings Rotarians and Friends of Rotary
 
Our guests today were Vick Sprancis (a Ribfest volunteer), Sue Chaudry, Dawn and Mitchell Bamford, Gary Hoolaeff, Hannah Wyper and John Kirvink
Announcements
 
The first Board meeting for the new Board will be July 18th at 5 pm at the Days Inn
 
Harry Cheshers funeral will be held THIS Friday at 2 pm at St Saviours Church with a reception after at the Trade and Convention centre
 
John DeYaeger is now in Haven Hill and unfortunately will not be returning to Rotary –if you would like to visit John he is on the 2nd floor.
 
August 22nd will be the visit by the District Governor Sherry Chamberlain
 
 
October 26/27 will be the Fall Assembly in beautiful Lake Chelan, WA

August 12th will be our BBQ for the CLUB at Peters house – 4PM  – 4341 Mill Bay Road – come one come all!
 
Our speaker today was David Michaud who is the Director of Corporate Partnerships with the Penticton Vees
 
  Sherriff – Dave Smith was the Sherriff today and fined Garry for an odd looking pair of shoes, Marie for advertising at our Rotary meeting, Ralph for making men look bad still walking hand in hand with his wife, Erwin for wearing the same shirt that he wore when Dave fined him 3 years ago, Paul for his tie and socks, John for wearing a tie in the summer in Penticton, Tim to see if he knew Dave’s last name, Don Michiel just because, Natalie for the microphone, Roy for taking his parking spot, Navid for bringing his wife and gain making the men look bad, and Brian for being late
 
 
sadlaugh  Happy Sad – Erwin mentioned that they were having a reception for Harrys funeral at the convention centre at 4, Barb was happy to have had her son and daughter visit for Ribfest AND they are having another baby, Randall was happy that his son will be in Grade 6, and Mitchell was happy school is over, Marie was happy to join the club, Paul was happy to see his neighbor David speaking, Rhonda was sad she will miss the board meeting, Marie was also sad about the diver that drowned in Thailand and Ralph was sad about Harry Chesher
 
  We did a 50/50 draw for $78 and Michel Martel got the chance to draw the joker but did not win.  Michel will be Sherriff next week
