Phew... its been a busy few weeks.

Our Rotary Club is still hard at work behind all scenes during Covid and of course we are still meeting on Zoom weekly.

Last week we had the chance to see some past exchange students on Zoom which was fantastic and Ralph got to see his "kids" (yes Ralph got on zoom - you can to)

This week we had the pleasure of Chief Greg Gabriel answering our questions about the Penticton Indian Band and his new plans as Chief and our very own Ken Davis introduced Chief Gabriel

yes Ken Davis got on zoom - you can too !!  If you need help getting on Zoom don't be afraid to ask - with Covid we will not be meeting in person anytime in the future so Zoom is where it is at

Board Meeting news - Our Board met on Tuesday and the Board passed a motion to give $500 to the Salvation Army Food Bank and $500 to the Soupateria – as we have not been able to hold our Wheelbarrow Raffle, this will help them to know we are still out here thinking about them

Fun and Friendly:   Our Wreath friendraiser was a lot of fun and also helped out a local business in Summerland called La Vista Del Canon Farm, this time of year this business would usually be at the Christmas markets , but with Covid that all ended, needless to say they were very happy that Rotary stepped up and sold some wreaths.  Our Rotary Club delivered 61 wreaths from Naramata to OK Falls.
The wreaths were beautifully done by La Vista Del Canon in Summerland and had all of the fresh greens and pinecones and everything harvested from their farm.  We raised $609 dollars for our Rotary club   a BIG  Thank you to the elves that helped:   Don Collins, Karen Donison and Ron Jaggard, Brian Hughes, Gord and Jo-Ann Herle, Sandra Krauer,  Deanna Dunham, Michel Martel and George and Shirley Gordon along with my hubby Jon
The wreaths were beautiful and it was great to see some other Rotarians and non out there helping our club

Also our Starfish Auction ran from November 1-30th and raised $7164.96 –  Tracy worked hard to collect items for the auction and then delivered all of them !!
As well Tracy has been all over in the community picking up donations to Starfish you can follow Tracy and Starfish on the Starfish Pack Penticton Facebook page
Congratulations Tracy and Starfish
