During the past 29 years, the three Rochester Rotary clubs have provided over $868,900 in grants and scholarships to youth-related or education-oriented, Rochester-based organizations from the proceeds of the Rotary US Bank Holiday Classic.
Community grants may be applied for after the Classic each year (December 28 & 29 in 2017). A committee decides which organizations are to receive monies. Community grants have been awarded in amounts varying from $500 to $5,000.
Criteria are:
1) nonprofit (proof of nonprofit status must be provided)
2) youth related or education oriented
3) Rochester based 
4) having a demonstrated need

Organizations submitting proposals will be informed of the outcome of their request by Friday, February 16, 2018. 
Community Grant recipients will be recognized and receive their checks at the Annual Rotary US Bank Holiday Classic Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Mayo Civic Center.
