Volunteer at Treasure Island Amphitheater in Red Wing as ticket takers, ushers or clean up. Note: All volunteers must sign TI waivers; and be at least 20 years old. Contact Jill Cordes if interested: 507-516-6412. You get to hear a great concert while volunteering, Treasure Island gives you a $10 voucher for concessions, and best of all donates $15 per hour per person for your service to our Rotary Club of Rochester Community Foundation.

Our program speaker is Randy Stocker, local author of the book Hugs Help. Stocker will share his story about suffering grief, finding ways to “ease the pain” and offering guidance on how to help comfort those who are grieving.
We will also pass out Passports (see DG Dayle’s news) and Imagine Rotary pins.

August 14th – Bridge the Valley Bike Rally – Family Friendly – 10-70 miles or a 75 mile gravel challenge (Stillwater Sunrise Rotary)
August 17th - Taste of Lakeville, a fun community celebration at the Lakeville Area Arts Center from 5 pm – 9 pm – 21+ event
August 27th – Pedal Prior – Family friendly bike rides– 11-69 miles (Prior Lake Rotary) first year of this event and they are going for it. Thank you Kyle Haugen and Prior Lake Rotary for lending your expertise. This occurs in Pine City MN

***NEW*** - Aug 9th and 11th - Next year's Rotary International Convention is being held in Melbourne, Australia. If you are going to travel that far, you might as well consider staying a bit longer and seeing the country. One of our very own members is setting up tours for anyone who is interested. A $100 Kwik Trip card immediately creates $5 for the club and any in-store purchases creates another 5% donation.If you would like to purchase Scrip cards, send an email to romnrotary@gmail.com with how many and what denomination you'd like. In additional to Kwik Trip, Scrip cards are also available to Apollo Liquor and Menards. The cards are purchased at face value, but the club receives 5% back from Apollo Liquor and Kwik Trip and 4% back from Menards. The club receives an additional 5% on purchases at Kwik Trip, other than gas, inside the store.
