Mike Neumann, member of the Rotary Risers and 3-club World Community Service team will provide an update on International Service Projects in Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala which are focused on clean water, nutrition, and pulmonary health.
On October 24, World Polio Day, Rotarians, their families, and friends picked up bowling balls and raised funds to eradicate Polio from this earth. The Post Bulletin and KIMT-TV covered the event bringing more awareness to Rotary's efforts to get rid of this debilitating disease. Mayor Kim Norton posted a video on the Kim Norton - Mayor of Rochester, MN Facebook page which can be viewed here. The video underscores the tremendous progress that has been made to eliminate polio and acknowledges that we still have some work left to do!
If you would like to make a donation to Rotary to assist in the efforts to eradicate polio, there is a recognition points matching opportunity from Rotary District 5960. If you contribute at least $100 to PolioPlus, the donation will be matched 1:1 with Recognition Points. If you donor give at least $365 (equivalent to $1.00 per day) to PolioPlus, the District will utilize Recognition Points to make the donor a Paul Harris Fellow. Visit the new Rotary Holiday Classic apparel store and purchase either Rotary Clubs of Rochester or Rotary Holiday Classic t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, sweatshirts, quarter-zip shirts, hats, and much more. The online store is available until early December with purchases arriving prior to the Holiday Classic. Ten percent of each order will be donated back to the Holiday Classic.

A $100 Kwik Trip card immediately creates $5 for the club and any in-store purchases creates another 5% donation.If you would like to purchase Scrip cards, send an email to romnrotary@gmail.com with how many and what denomination you'd like. In additional to Kwik Trip, Scrip cards are also available to Apollo Liquor and Menards. The cards are purchased at face value, but the club receives 5% back from Apollo Liquor and Kwik Trip and 4% back from Menards. The club receives an additional 5% on purchases at Kwik Trip, other than gas, inside the store.
