Correction: TRCR Community Foundation gives $22,170 to Wine to Water for Tanzania vehicle purchase

Read the revised thank you letter The Rotary Club of Rochester Community Foundation received for its gift of $22,170 to Wine to Water for the purchase of a vehicle for their operations in Tanzania. The thank you letter previously shared in the Moccasin Flower incorrectly stated the TRCR Community Foundation's support for Hurricane Helene relief rather than for a vehicle for the Tanzania office.

Rotarians - let's share the love
February is the month we celebrate love! And we can’t think of a better way to do that than to “Share The Love” we have for the good work of Rotary by supporting our Rotary International Foundation which funds most of that good work.

The more we give, the more impact there is in our communities and around the world.  This year, we have a challenging but achievable goal of raising $500,000 in our District for the Annual Fund – SHARE.  We are currently at $244,000 so let’s PUSH now to make this happen! The RI Foundation is recognized as one of the most effective and well-managed charitable organizations in the world, with 15 consecutive four-star ratings from Charity Navigator and an A-plus rating from CharityWatch.

Happy 120th anniversary, Rotary International!

Rotary started with the vision of one man — Paul Harris. The Chicago attorney formed the Rotary Club of Chicago on February 23, 1905, so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Over time, Rotary’s reach and vision gradually extended to humanitarian service. Members have a long track record of addressing challenges in their communities and around the world. "Whatever Rotary may mean to us, to the world it will be known by the results it achieves." - Paul Harris
