Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education (STRIVE) is a mentorship program created to motivate high school seniors who wish to improve their present educational status and life prospects. The program was developed on the premise that students who are academically ranked in the lower half of their class have the same natural abilities and gifts as those who are in the upper half. The difference is often motivation, work habits, self-esteem, attendance, and performance in the classroom. STRIVE challenges these students to improve their work, gain self-confidence and discover the satisfaction of achievement. Please contact the Rotary office (romnrotary@gmail.com) if you would like to participate in this program as a mentor or financial sponsor. |

Rotarians and guests are invited to participate in this service event, taking place the first Thursday of each month in place of a traditional Rotary meeting. Volunteers are no longer required to register - just show up for an opportunity to not only serve the community but also to enjoy great fellowship while doing so. The tasks are varied, and there's something for everyone!
