ROLL ROTARY!
Mondays Matter. Join us and meet a special guest! Addy Perkins, Macalester student from St. Louis Park, will be a special guest on Monday. Addy Perkins is the 2016-17 recipient of the St. Louis Park Rotary Club’s Endowed Scholarship. Come to Rotary and learn about Addy’s life at Macalester and how she became the recipient of this special Rotary Award from our club.

Corporate Membership Policy. The board has adopted a new corporate membership policy which provides a corporation or other organization the opportunity to designate up to four representatives to be umbrellaed under the same membership. The policy provides flexibility for the company to involve senior level management and emerging leaders to be connected to Rotary. A primary person is identified with the membership. Should others choose to serve on the board or be an officer they have the opportunity to establish their own membership.    For additional info, contact Seth Schuett, membership chair, seth.schuett@edwardjones.com

President’s Citation. Area 5 Rotary Club presidents met this past week. This includes Minnetonka, Hopkins, Golden Valley, SLP Sunrise and our SLP Noon Club. One of the topics of conversation was the status of the clubs relative to qualifying for the President’s Citation. To qualify for this award you have to have met goals in each of the following categories: mandatory activities, membership attraction and engagement, foundation giving, online tool adoption, humanitarian service, new generations and public image. Each club has considerable work to do in the remaining 4 months of the year to qualify. I’ll have an update for you by February 27 in terms of where St. Louis Park Rotary Club stacks up.

I hope to see you at Rotary on Monday.
