Scholarships available for Hopkins High School students

The Hopkins Rotary Club is excited to announce that we have two scholarships available for 2016 Hopkins High School graduates seeking post-secondary education.
For over 25 years, the Hopkins Rotary Club has been dedicated to supporting educational opportunities for students in our community. In 2016, two Scholarships will be awarded to qualified students attending Hopkins High School:
- $5,000 Hopkins Rotary Jim Hance Memorial Scholarship; and
- $1,000 Hopkins Rotary Annual Scholarship.
Eligibility: Students planning to attend a two or four year technical school, college or university are encouraged to apply. Students must be a graduating senior of Hopkins High School in good standing. Applicants with nontraditional career plans (for example trades) or unique backgrounds (for example immigrants) are welcome.
Criteria used in selecting recipient:
- Community Service (Rotary’s Motto is “Service Above Self”); a demonstrated involvement in community service/volunteering is important.
- School activities, out of school activities and employment.
- Achievement (personal and scholastic).
- Need.
