President's Pen

Rotarians,

If you haven’t been to Sarpy County in a while, you might want to visit it soon. The growth in the area is exploding and there are tons of opportunities to do business. Our most recent speaker, Karen Gibler, has served as the President of the Sarpy County Chamber for 10 years. She shared information on what is currently happening in the county as well as plans for the county’s future.

With the holiday season approaching, the Rotarian spirit is in full swing. Whether it includes ringing bells for the Salvation Army or serving meals at the Stephen’s Center, Rotarians continue to live out “service before self” through our community involvement. If you have not volunteered yet this year, please reach out to Lindy Hoyer, who is doing an amazing job in coordinating volunteer opportunities.

Finally, just want to take a moment and thank all of the Rotarians (listed below)  who have given at least $100.00 to the Service Fund. Your financial contributions mean so much and are vital to our club’s financial success. If you are not listed, please consider giving today.

PDG Gary Bren is Joining the Tour de Tucson to End Polio
Click here to support our vey own PDG Gary Bren.
Club member,  past President, and past District Governor Gary Bren made a commitment late last year to ride in the 2021 Ride to End Polio that is part of the Tour de Tucson on November 20th.   He’ll be riding 102.6 miles in support of Polio Eradication.  Here is the ride he’ll be doing. He committed to doing this ride because he believes that it’s never been more important for us to focus on finishing Rotary’s battle to end Polio.  This is a critical time, as there have only been two cases of wild Polio virus this year.  It’s easy for everyone to relax and step back because of that…but in reality, now is the time we have to double our focus.
