Principal Christi Krehbiel of Omaha Christian Academy is set to address the intriguing topic of how the present status of public education will reverberate throughout private education and homeschooling. With an impressive background that spans teaching across elementary, middle, and high school levels, Christi's expertise extends to the university level, where she contributed as an instructor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After six years in higher education, she made her way back to Omaha Christian Academy, this time as the Head of School and Principal. In this role, she navigates the diverse educational landscape, from interacting with high school students to donning a tiara for reading sessions with preschoolers at the annual Princess party.
Christi's roots are grounded in the Millard community, having attended Montclair Elementary and Millard North Middle School. Alongside her husband Gary, she is the proud parent of four grown children and enjoys the role of being a grandparent. This extensive experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of education at various levels and positions her well to shed light on how the state of public education will impact both private schooling and homeschooling alternatives.
Introducing our new Rotarian, Bob Leddy, an Omaha native and Navy Veteran. Bob’s service to the Omaha community began in high school when he founded Omaha’s first Habitat for Humanity High School Campus Chapter at Creighton Prep. Following Prep, he entered the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, majoring in Political Science and Russian. In 2017, Bob was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy and became a Nuclear Submarine Officer. Following nuclear training in Charleston, SC and Groton, CT, Bob served for three years onboard the Ballistic Missile Submarine USS TENNESSEE (SSBN-734) out of Kings Bay, GA, completing five Strategic Deterrence Patrols. While there, he met his now wife, Emily, also an Omaha native. In 2021, Bob was assigned to Offutt, AFB, where he served as a Nuclear Missile Targeting Officer at STRATCOM and as a Strategic Operations Officer aboard the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC). Bob resigned his Commission last summer and now works as a Project Engineer for Kiewit Building Group in Omaha, NE. Bob’s commitment to excellence and his passion for fostering growth make him an invaluable addition to our Rotary family. We look forward to the remarkable contributions he will undoubtedly bring to our organization and the greater Omaha community.

Stephen Center partners with the community, families, and individuals to overcome homelessness, addiction, and poverty. Stephen Center has served the homeless and low-income in Omaha since 1984 through its three programs: Emergency Shelter, HERO Program and Transitional Living Program. The Omaha Downtown Rotary partners with Stephens Center in serving hot meals to its residents.

R. Gordon R. McInally is president of Rotary International. He was educated at the Royal High School in Edinburgh and at the University of Dundee, where he earned his graduate degree in dental surgery. He operated his own dental practice in Edinburgh until 2016. Gordon was chair of the East of Scotland branch of the British Paedodontic Society and has held various academic positions. He has also served as a presbytery elder, chair of the Queensferry parish congregational board, and commissioner to the general assembly of the Church of Scotland.
