Rotary's weekly meeting on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, will be devoted to the Honor Roll Program, starting at 11:30 AM, with students joining remotely while Rotarians and those with speaking parts of the program will be in person at Field Club. We will recognize 430 students from 57 Middle Schools. 

Our first Rotary Social on April 19, 2023, was a blast! There were 31 Rotarians who enjoyed drinks and fellowship. Please mark your calendars for the succeeding Rotary Socials will be held every last Wednesday of the month at Field Club. Here are some photos.
 

The Honor Roll Stuffing Party at President Sean's house was a breeze. It took only an hour of work on what usually would take two to three hours. The secret strategy was to serve the wine after the work was done. Rotarians enjoyed some chicken adobo from the Philippines. Thanks to Honor Roll Chair Deb Skinner, her husband George, Bill Harvey, Larry Guenther, Steve McCollister, Nash Mahupete, Yolanda Hoffman, and President Sean Connolly. While these volunteers were having fun, Jim Stewart and Jason Lenagh were glued to their desks, evaluating and ranking the scholarship applications. Thank you, Rotarians!

Your Service Fund in Action! Recently, Omaha Downtown Rotary participated in a multi-club grant project of purchasing and packaging nutritious meals for the food insecure in our immediate community. Omaha Downtown Rotary, Omaha West Rotary, and Millard Rotary, with Rotarians, family, and friends, packaged 25,000 meals in partnership with Kids Against Hunger. Here's a video recap.

Stephen Center partners with the community, families and individuals to overcome homelessness, addiction and poverty. Stephen Center has served the homeless and low-income in Omaha since 1984 through their three programs: Emergency Shelter, HERO Program and Transitional Living Program.

 

The Omaha Downtown Rotary partners with Stephens Center in serving hot meals to its residents.
