Last Week at Rotary
Recently, President Sean Connolly brought back a Rotary practice of having Rotarians give a Vocational Talk. The Vocational Talk is a highly-timed opportunity at the podium for three minutes only. If you go over the allotted time, everyone at your table is fined a dollar each for our Service Fund. Last week, Franco Gentile of FOX 42 delivered his 3-minute vocational talk and was done before his time was up. Nevertheless, his table volunteered to fine themselves, and we raised $30 for our Service Fund. Please let Yolanda know which week you will deliver your vocational talk.

Veta Jeffery, President & CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, was our speaker last week. She got to test Field Club's new ClickShare technology during her presentation. Despite an intermittent internet connection, LeRoy Swedlund brought us a live feed of Operation Hippocrates from Belize. We are saving lives in Belize! We will hear more about the project in LeRoy's post-project report. This is your Service Fund in action. If you have not yet donated $100 to the Service Fund this year, you have until June 30, 2023, to do so, but you don't have to wait until June 30. Click here to donate to the Service Fund, a fund within the Omaha Downtown Rotary Foundation, a 501c3 organization. Below are some photos from last week.
