Andy Cassano joined O-pa in February 2020 as Vice President of Programming and Education where he leads OPA’s extensive programming, education, and community engagement activities. Previously, Mr. Cassano was the Director for the Zoellner Arts Center at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
Hard to believe it is almost October and 3 months of our club year is behind us. We are so fortunate to be able to be in the same room together again which makes Wednesday one of my favorite days of the week. We have continued to have good participation at our meetings both in-person and virtually.
At this week’s meeting, we experienced BITCOIN 101 and information about the Nebraska Fund Innovation Act. Our speaker, Atty. Matt McKeever, Partner at Burnett Wilson Law mystified us (or at least me) with the wonderful world of BITCOIN – what it is, how it is used, pros and cons, and much more. BITCOIN has been around since 2009 when it was created on the heels of the economic recession. It was created to be an electronic peer-to-peer cash system but has also attracted crypto-curious investors as a store-of-value currency, comparable to gold.
