Lunch is $15 for members and $18 for visiting Rotarians and guests. 

President Larry Guenther will be presiding over our Year-End Awards and Changing of the Guard on June 26, 2024, at 12 noon at Johnny's Cafe. Our last meeting of the year is always a highlight, as the President enters his grand finale. President Larry will not only boast about our accomplishments but also provide a thorough evaluation of the advice, suggestions, and exhortations from Past Presidents at the beginning of the year. You don't want to miss it! It's a party at Rotary and a champagne is waiting for you courtesy of the Past Presidents who gave the "best advise" to President Larry. Be a nice Rotarian, bring your spouse, bring a friend or a prospective Rotarian.
 

During the event, President Larry will recognize outgoing Committee Chairs, Club Officers, Club Board of Directors, and Foundation Directors. More importantly, the "Perfect Rotarians" will be honored. Perfect attendance is achieved through consistent attendance and participation in weekly meetings, service projects, committee work, weekly club service, Rotary Socials, visiting other clubs, Rotary online makeups, and Zoom attendance. July is the perfect time to join the race to become a Perfect Rotarian!

Recently, Todd Johnson sponsored Rebecca Rens to Rotary and was formally introduced last week by James Mackiewicz. Dr. Rebecca Niemeyer Rens is an entrepreneur and business professional, a researcher and author, an educator and content creator, and wife and mother of three daughters and one son-in-law.
 

Rebecca has worked in both non-profit and for-profit sectors gaining experience in the areas of Advancement, Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Management and Professing. Her most significant practitioner experience stems from serving for 30 years as President and Co-Owner of a concrete construction company that provided general contracting and street paving services and products for infrastructure projects to state and municipal clientele and private developers. Most recently, Rebecca worked full time as an Assistant Professor of Business, teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses through in-person and remote instruction. Her experience in the Higher Education industry also includes serving as a Dissertation Chair and Online Program Developer.

Rebecca’s academic credentials include a BA in Business Administration from Dordt University, an MBA with a specialization in Management from the University of Sioux Falls where she graduated with honors receiving the Spirit of Excellence Award for academic achievement. In 2022, Rebecca acquired a Doctor of Business Administration Degree with a Leadership Cognate, earning her terminal degree as a Graduate with Distinction and Inductee of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business. Her doctoral research and dissertation addressed the topic of leadership adaptability in rapidly changing and complex industry environments. In addition to the publication of her dissertation, Rebecca also co-authored an article regarding her research and findings which has been published in the Journal of Higher Education Theory and Practice.
