Williamson County Schools Sports Team Challenge

PANCAKE EATING COMPETITION 2017

  1. The Rotary Club of Brentwood is sponsoring a Williamson County Schools Sports Team Challenge pancake eating contest in conjunction with WilliamsonSource.com at their annual Pancake Day community fundraising event.  The participant declared the first , second and third place winners will receive trophies and cash rewards of $300, $200 and $100 respectively.   
  2. All contestants must complete the Online Application form no later than April 7, 2017.  There is no entry fee. All participants will be required to sign a liability release form. Space is limited and contestants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The contest will be held promptly at 10:30 am, and all contestants are required to be present by 10:15 am.  Applying does not guarantee a spot in the competition, anyone not present by 10:15 am may be replaced in the contest with an alternate.
  3. All contestants need to be at least 14 years of age or older and anyone under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to the competition. Age will be verified when you arrive for the competition.
  4. The time limit for the contest is 5 minutes, and the moderator will give contestants a verbal time stamp on each minute and count down the final 30 seconds.  Prior to the starting bell of the contest, each contestant will be given a stack of 4 Aretha Frankenstein’s pancakes along with utensils (optional), syrup and butter. When that plate is finished, contestants may raise their hand to be delivered an additional stack of 4.  All contestants must completely clean their plates before requesting another stack, and no pancake debris should be on the table or floor area.
  5. When the bell sounds, all contestants need to stop eating. If a single winner is not declared, we will resume the competition with the top two contestants for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. One bottle of water will be provided to each contestant.
  7. If, at any point during or immediately after the contest, any participant regurgitates any food, they will be disqualified.
  8. The decision of the judges is final.  The Rotary Club of Brentwood and WilliamsonSource.com sponsors this contest as a part of the Club's annual “Pancake Day” fundraising efforts All proceeds from "Pancake Day" activities will be donated to the Brentwood Rotary Club Charitable Foundation, which raises and donates money for community organizations. 
  9. All contestants agree to allow their name and likeness to be used by the Rotary Club of Brentwood and any and all media present to be used for promotional purposes without further notification or compensation.
