Dear Rotary friends,
I hope you are doing well and staying dry. By the time we see each other on Wednesday, Hurricane Henri should be gone, and the sun will be shining. I look forward to welcoming friends from Open Table MDI as our weekly speakers.
Starting on September 1, we will have our monthly evening meeting (first Wednesday of the month) at Pat’s Pizza at 6 Pleasant Street, Bar Harbor. The restaurant isn’t open to the public, but Peter has agreed to host us for our evening meeting and will provide pizza and other yummies. The cost is $10 per person, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.
Starting on September 8, we will have our weekly lunch meeting at the Atlantic Oceanside at 119 Eden Street, Bar Harbor. The cost is $17 for a full lunch. We will be at the Oceanside through October, giving us time to evaluate the arrangements. Our ultimate goal is to return to Birch Bay Village.
We received a very kind note in the mail from District Governor Doug Curtis, thanking us for our welcoming visit to our club. Thank you to all who joined us for that meeting.
