Many thanks to everyone for the lovely reception they gave to Stefanie Muscat Joy during her classification talk last Wednesday. She did such a great job.

Also, Sallie Boggs suggested that we include nonprofit announcements and news in the Bulletin. If you’d like to do so, please email Martha Abbott by Friday prior to the Bulletin’s weekly release.

You’ll be seeing (or you’ve already seen) an email from me about club meetings with a link to a survey. This survey is to help us understand and plan for all members’ needs. Please take a moment to complete the survey.

On Feb. 27, we’ll be hosting a speaker from Sarah’s House, which our club has supported in the past and also currently supports. According to its website, “The mission of Sarah’s House is to provide temporary lodging in a comfortable “home away from home” environment to cancer patients (and their caregivers) receiving treatments at Cancer Care.  We serve a vast area for cancer treatment, and convenient lodging is essential for these people.  At Sarah’s House, we provide not only an affordable place to stay, but a supportive and caring atmosphere centered around hope and healing.  Referred guests are served with integrity and respect and without regard to financial resources.”

The District Conference in May has a discount up until March 21. Click here to register and check it out. Our current District Governor should have sent you all a program via email.

The Zone Conference in September is also offering early registration discounts. Check out more here. According to Rotary Director Jeffry Cadorette, “What a tremendous opportunity to reconnect with classmates, to rub shoulders with current and future Rotary International leaders, to get to know other Rotarians from across Zones 24 and 32 and our new colleagues from Zone 29 who share a passion for service through leadership. YOU need to be a part of this stimulating group of individuals!”

Our club often offsets some of the cost to attendees to either event.  Bigger conferences are a great way to connect to other Rotarians outside our own club and also to get a better understanding of what Rotary is capable of.

I hope to see you all there!
