It’s our Annual Meeting this week at the Carriage House, so we won’t be having a lunchtime meeting on Wednesday. I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, and so many thanks to Colleen and Susy for organizing the meeting. Poor Colleen even ended up being tasked with finding out how people wanted their steaks cooked, which seems like truly above and beyond.
It should be a great time.
Please let me know if you’re interested in a monthly breakfast meeting.
Many thanks to Mel Rice, Judith Swazey and Scott Hammond for their work on scholarships. Those have been awarded to Forest Watras and Makayla Gray.
As you know, Rotary’s Board of Directors has a representative in every zone in the world. Our director is Jeffry Cadorette, and he was in Maine this weekend chartering Rotary’s newest club, The New Voices District 7780 Rotary Club. The club was formed by Rotary Youth Leadership alumni to help invite other youth leaders into Rotary. All the meetings are virtual, and there are a couple of signature events and one service project throughout the year. It’s an interesting model that we could potentially use to connect our graduated Interactors.
You’ll have a chance to meet Jeffry and probably Rotary International’s president at the
Zone conference in September.
Email me if you’d like more details about the event.
