This, sadly, is my next to last weekly bulletin message and I really have the urge to wax philosophic, but if I am going to do that this week, it will be at Wednesday night’s dinner. Honestly, I have weeks where I look forward to writing the weekly message and can really get into the challenge of trying to say something meaningful and then there are weeks where it just seems like a bit of a chore. I am, however, always lucky to have the opportunity to write the messages and to be the Club’s President for a year.
I have joked in the past about my tenure as president coming to an end and how I will be grateful for this. Honestly, this is not true! Being your Club’s President has been an easy task, with few exceptions. There will always be exceptions to any rule, but, as a rule, the Bar Harbor (MDI) Rotary Club runs itself. This is thanks to the wonderful members and all that you do. I will be thanking all kinds of people on Wednesday evening for making my year as Club President practically effortless, but right now I wish to thank ALL of you! Thank you all for being who you are, doing what you do and for being a part of Rotary!

At its January 2017 meeting, the Rotary International Board of Directors adopted a new zone structure for Rotary clubs.
