Dear fellow Rotarians,

Thank you to all who joined us last week to hear from our District Governor, Joel Philibert!

He touched on the upcoming District 7790 General Assembly on October 24th, and due to it being virtual — it is far easier to attend this year. The Zoom meeting will take place from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. All members should have received an invite. I will forward the Zoom details closer to the event.

While visiting with us, Joel talked about the importance of connection amongst members, and continuing the core Rotary mission of service in our community.

We all make Rotary stronger. By adding our skills, experience, and enthusiasm to our club, we can advance our community here on island and on a global scale. Together, we can eradicate polio, train more skilled peacemakers, and provide lasting solutions for communities fighting disease, hunger, illiteracy, climate change and poverty.

Joel also noted that Rotary is meant to be both rewarding and fun. During our next meeting, we will gather for fun and fellowship during our evening social on Wednesday, October 7th at 5 p.m. (via Zoom). You are invited to share your favorite autumn beverage. I look forward to seeing you then!
