President's Message
Greetings Rotary friends!

We gather this week for fellowship and conversation at Pat’s Pizza on Pleasant Street in Bar Harbor at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1.  There will be NO Zoom meeting for this night meeting.

Related to Zoom, starting on July 1, we will no longer be offering Zoom meetings as a part of the weekly Rotary gatherings.  We really want Rotarians to get in the habit of meeting in-person.  Being together and breaking bread really helps with the idea sharing and work that we do to serve others.

Speaking of serving, we have the sign-ups for the annual festival here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1O7UgwPmkidzIt8FrBxZVensdu9mOUdEjfnBhKqTZ8jk/edit?usp=sharing.

Many hands make light work. It takes a village. We can’t do it without you.

All are true, and I really need you to help.  Can you click on this google doc link and sign up for a couple shifts for the Bar Harbor/MDI Annual Pancake Breakfast and Seafood Festival?  All training will be provided. More details are below.

Thank you,
Lisa

Pancake Breakfast and Seafood Festival - Volunteer Positions
July 3 -4, 2022 Town Ball Field

On Independence Day, our club celebrates by working hard to raise money for charities.  The work starts months before as members begin planning for this day-long festival. The day before the event will find most of the club's membership and lots of other friends on the athletic field across from the YMCA, setting up tents, tables, chairs, grills and all it takes to serve thousands of pancakes and nearly 1,000 pounds of lobster.

On the 4th of July, the festival begins at 6:00 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, which lasts until after 10:00 am. At about 11:00 a.m., we begin to serve lunch until about 2:00 p.m.  Come on out and enjoy the day with us.  Volunteers are welcome to work any portion of the event. Some work just a part while some others work all parts.
