We look forward to seeing Rotarian Charley Dickey on his annual visit to our club to give us an update on Malaria Partners International. Charley has been involved in the organization since its inception back in 2013 as a member of the Seattle 4 Rotary Club (read more here: https://historylink.org/File/21187). As a summer resident of Northeast Harbor, Charley has always been good at keeping us up to date on the need, history, progress, and success of MPI. Each year our club makes a gift to MPI to help fulfill Bill Gates Sr.’s dream in 2009 of “eradicate malaria.”

The Rotary clubs of Panamá Norte and Westchester (Los Angeles), put together a global grant that sought to remedy the digital divide in Panama. The project provided each school with 30 laptops for students, an interactive whiteboard, and other technology, and also provided training for local teachers.
