Rotarians,
The World has changed for all of us. The Coronavirus is affecting every aspect of our lives.
As you know, most large gatherings across the country have been cancelled. Rotary will not be an exception, and our club is cancelling all of our lunches, evening meetings, and board meetings until further notice. The District cancelled PETS this past weekend, and the District Conference is cancelled as well.
The quick spread of the virus is concerning, and we should be responsible citizens and be part of the solution by practicing social distancing and protecting those who are sick or with compromised immune systems, those who are quarantined, those who are grieving, and our elderly.
COVID19 is serious, and we are in the middle of a pandemic. I am thankful for all the people who are working together to contain the virus and helping others.
There are many things we can do as Rotarians, as People of Action. Here are some of those things:
1. If you are able, drop off supplies to those who may need them (friends, neighbors, etc.).
2. Protect yourself and others following the CDC/WHO guidelines regarding sanitary practices.
3. Check in on loved ones and our elderly population, being sure to take precautions.
4. Go for a walk.
5. Donate to food pantries, homeless shelters, etc.
6. Support local businesses where you can.
7. Commit random acts of kindness.
8. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
These are definitely uncertain and scary times, but I know that nothing lasts forever. Let's be positive, proactive, and take care of each other.
See you all soon,
President Susy
