119 Eden Street
Bar Harbor, ME 04609 United States of America
Join us Wednesdays at Noon, at Atlantic Oceanside Hotel in Bar Harbor, except for the first Wednesday of each month when we meet at Pat's Pizza in Bar Harbor. If you attend in person, please be vaccinated; otherwise join us via Zoom
I hope you are doing well and staying warm. I look forward to seeing you and other Rotarians as we gather for lunch at noon on Wednesday, December 15 in the Southwest Harbor Room (new room for us; next door to our normal meeting room in the conference center) at the Atlantic Oceanside. We really need folks to come out in person if possible. We have a minimum of 15 attendees required by the Atlantic Oceanside for 2021 and that goes up to 20 in 2022!
I set up Zoom for the meeting last week with the new LOUD speaker, but sadly no one was signed on to enjoy it. While I love making our meetings accessible to our members away for the winter and also those who don’t feel comfortable attending in-person gatherings, it is hard for me to run two meetings each week. I don’t mind but it is frustrating when no one makes use of it. Please use this link to log on to the meeting: https://friendsofacadia.zoom.us/j/81173944788?pwd=Qm5UZjkzbW5hSnJXeUdmemdUZzRBQT09 Meeting ID: 811 7394 4788, Passcode: Acadia.
Last week we had a great presentation by Annette about ShelterBox. You can find her slides on our club Google drive at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RDnnKeRlPRW9JmqIqI11RC1JdCkDatd-. To watch the video, click the white arrow on the photos. You may have to press “enable content” to watch them. They are pretty powerful. This week we have Matt DeLaney, new director and head librarian at the Jesup Library, coming to talk about great changes at the library. Both Jesup and ShelterBox are recipients of the proceeds of the holiday auction held earlier this month. I hope you are proud to know what we are making possible with our grants!
