Hello everyone!
Playground: What a fantastic weekend for Rotary and the community together this last weekend! Park Street Playground opened ON TIME and with the help and support of all of you! Every so often I hear a testimonial from different Rotarian's about their Rotary moment, for me, Saturday had to be mine. Watching the children come through the playground after the ribbon was cut and hearing all the noises of delight was truly overwhelming, it was just amazing to see all the hard work we all put in, come to fruition. I was never more proud to be a part of this club. Well done everyone.
If you were not able to make it to the playground head over to our
Facebook or Instagram pages to see some of the many moments that were captured on camera by our fantastic PR group!
Fellowship: Coming up on October 4th, Annette Has planned a big night for us for the evening meeting! From Annette:
A fellowship night of supporting our neighbors in the construction zone. On Oct 4th for our monthly night meeting, we will meet at Mainely Meat, Dreamwood Hill at 5 PM. Directly after, for those who would like to, we will head over to Pirate's Cove for some Adventure Golf! Regular night meeting price, cash bar and if we have 20+ for golf. $7.00 each for 18 holes. Great meeting to have family and friends join you.
Last time we did this it was a complete blast, so hopefully most of you can make it!
Banners: I am also still actively looking for someone to take on rearranging our banners from other clubs at Birch Bay. They have begun to look a little weepy and we still have more amazing banners in storage that we would like to be able to fit along with the others. Please email me if you or anyone you know of is interested.
See you all this week, Birch Bay at noon.
Steve
