We had four visitors at our last meeting - one from California, two from Germany, and one from MDI. Here are photos of our visiting Rotarians from California and Germany:
Alf Anderson from the Chamber was our speaker. Alf provided an update on Chamber activities including conversation regarding the local housing shortage. The Atlantic Oceanside has been providing delicious meals. We had a great lunch of fried haddock, French fries and pumpkin pie.
This week our speaker will be Dave Edson from the MDI Wheelers. I just Googled the MDI Wheelers to find out what they do. You can find out by coming to our meeting (or Google). I’m hoping you come to the meeting. We’ll also take a couple of minutes as a Foundation moment to review Rotary’s areas of focus.
Members are encouraged to make plans now to attend the Ghostbusters movie at the Criterion on Sunday, Oct. 23rd at 3 PM with all admissions revenue to go towards Polio eradication efforts.
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Olena Morhun fled with three of her children and made her way to Puławy, Poland. There they were welcomed by Krystyna Wilczyńska-Ciemięga, one of many Rotary members who have opened their homes to refugees.
