Happy June everyone!

What a streak of weather we had over the weekend! Hope you all got outside to enjoy the fresh air and vitamin D! Only a couple more weeks before the park starts to fill again; so get out and about!

We are still signing up members for our annual dinner meeting at The Log Cabin Restaurant in Hulls Cove on June 20th. Please make sure to contact Annette Higgins to let her know how many you are bringing (if any) and your choice of chicken, fish, steak or veggie.

This Wednesday is our evening meeting which is going to be at The Bar Harbor Inn in the Porcupine Room. Rotarian Sue Kropff and staff will be our hosts for the evening. Interact will give us a short presentation, and it should be a great evening for all; bring a friend!

Golden Apple Award

The MDI Rotary Club awarded the 14^th Annual Golden Apple Award to Ms. Megan McOsker, a Computer Science teacher and Robotics advisor at Mount Desert Island High School. I presented the award at a MDIHS school assembly last week, noting it was hard to select just one teacher from the many outstanding teachers we have on MDI. Community member and former Rotarian Nicole Ouellette nominated McOsker, and many others sent letters of support.
