I want to say thank you to all of you (and your guests if you can tell them thank you for me) who attended last Wednesday night’s Annual Dinner. I am not much of a public speaker, in the sense that I don’t enjoy it, but, on occasion I can get into it. Wednesday, I got into it! I had a tremendously fun time and I can only hope that you and your guest, if you brought one, had half as much fun as I!
Tonight was my last board meeting as club president. This Wednesday will be my last club meeting as club president. About this, I am sad! I will be honest and say that I am not all that terribly sad to not be club president any longer, but I am terribly sad that I will no longer be able to perform some of the functions of club president, such as running the lunch meetings. No matter what kind of day I was having, I could almost always count on it getting better when I had the opportunity to run a club meeting.
I attribute my ability to have fun while speaking in front of a group people, on a weekly basis, to the quality of people who make up our club. You all have good personalities, big hearts, and the ability to make others feel relaxed and respected. I have truly enjoyed working for and with you this past year and am looking forward to many more years of continuing to do so! I thank you for having faith and trust in me and giving me the opportunity that I have enjoyed so much!

P.S. – Our speaker for this week has cancelled. If there was ever a time to come to a meeting, it will be this week. Look at it like a grab bag situation. You pay your $13.00 not knowing if what you will get in return is worthless or priceless. Plus, it will more than likely be short.
