Hope you all had a great week. We’re looking at some warm temps this upcoming week to help cure the winter blues. Be sure to get out and enjoy the fresh air as much as possible; it’s amazing what it can do for your overall health!
We have several opportunities for service coming up:
Jenny Jones and the Bar Harbor Food Pantry are also looking for a couple of volunteers for their food drive event taking place at Hannaford and A&B Naturals on Saturday, March 3rd. They are afternoon table shifts. Please email Jenny at jennifer@bhfp.org if you are interested.
We still need some folks to volunteer to help set up for the Seal Cove Auto Museum Speakeasy event. That will be during the day on Saturday, March 10th. Please email Barbara Fox at stude28@myfairpoint.net if interested.
Carrie Jones sent out an email regarding dates for the Backpack Project at the Bar Harbor Congregational Church. There are several Friday mornings from now until June when it’s our responsibility to help. Please email Carrie at carriejonesbooks@gmail.com if interested.
The Rotary mini-golf committee is starting to get ready for our annual fundraiser this May. John Jagger and Nancy Corliss will be spearheading the committee and sending out an email soon for those who are interested.
There are also a few other events brewing; so stay tuned. But please, whatever you do, big or small, through Rotary or on your own, let’s try our best to get out there and make a positive impact on our community!
We’ll have a brief Club Assembly this Wednesday to vote on our slate of officers for 2018-2019, and our guest speaker will be Joan Phaup from the Camden Rotary club who will update us on the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.

The road to eradicating polio has been a long and difficult one, with Rotary leading the fight since 1985. Going from nearly 350,000 cases in 1988 to just 10 so far this year has required time, money, dedication, and innovation from thousands of people who are working to end the
