Remote Meetings
Bar Harbor, ME United States of America
Due to the pandemic, we are currently meeting via Zoom. Join us on Wednesdays at Noon, except for the first Wednesday of the month when we meet at 5:00 pm (check Facebook or the speakers list on this page for the topics presented).
I hope you are enjoying a relaxing three-day holiday weekend!
This Wednesday at Noon we will be joined by Jody Wolford-Tucker, Executive Director of Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County.
Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County is a non-profit, Maine State Licensed volunteer support organization, founded in 1980. They provide non-medical assistance to patients and families who are facing the end-of-life, support to those who grieve the loss of a loved one and provide education and advocacy for the community on death and bereavement issues. Jody has served as Executive Director since 2006. I hope you will join us on Wednesday for what is sure to be an informative lunchtime meeting. Like many organizations, Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County is facing both a greater need and unprecedented challenges. Please watch your email for Zoom details.
On a lighter note, below is the first in our series of animal office mates. According to Mike Madell, “Thunder has his toy box downstairs; my office is upstairs. At the start of the day, there are no toys in the office. The photo shows what it looks like at the end of the day! I have another office-mate, Scully the cat, but she just basically hangs-out & sleeps.”
Thank you, Mike & Thunder, for sharing this photo! Do you have an office mate, or two, you want to appear in an upcoming Bulletin? Please email a photo and details to stefanie@skogcottage.com.
Finally, a reminder that we would like to add a section to our Bulletin with member news. Since we are not able to be together in person, many life events can pass without support or celebration. If you have news about yourself (or a fellow Rotarian) that you wish to share, please email me at stefanie@skogcottage.com. Martha and I will make sure it is shared in the next Bulletin.
