Join us Wednesdays at Noon, at Atlantic Oceanside Hotel in Bar Harbor, except for the first Wednesday of each month when we meet at Pat's Pizza in Bar Harbor. If you attend in person, please be vaccinated; otherwise join us via Zoom
We meet this Wednesday at noon at the Atlantic Oceanside to hear from Amy Boles (Director) and Tara Mason (Hospitality/Travel & Tourism Teacher) of the Hancock County Technical Center. You may remember I am married to a carpenter, and I hear daily the great need for new employees in the trades. I look forward to hearing how they are working “to engage students with rigorous and relevant career and technical education for success in the post-secondary and industrial world.” Learn more about HCTC here: https://www.ellsworthschools.org/o/hancock-county-technical-center
Rotary is co-hosting with the Plein Air Painters of Acadia (PAPA) and ArtWaves an auction to benefit United Help Ukraine. The auction opened on Sunday at 10 a.m. and runs through Friday at 6 p.m. From 4-6 on Friday, there will be a reception at ArtWaves to view the art in person, visit with the artists, and make final bids. Learn more about the event and see the paintings at https://tinyurl.com/artists4ukraine.
We need three volunteers to bring finger food for the reception on Friday – cookies, veggie platter, cheese & crackers, etc. Can you help? If so, email me at lisahorschclark@gmail.com.
