Dear Club Members,

This is my final message to all of you. Thank you for an AMAZING year! We have traveled a journey of growth, adjustment and regrouping. I have enjoyed serving as President but I am ready to step back and let Shaun take the reins.

Thank you to all of you that served on the ever changing Board these last 14 months, I am grateful and quite frankly very lucky to have served with each and every one of you.

I am looking forward to beginning my new post as the Interact Liaison. I will not even try to fill Maryanne’s shoes but will do my best to keep the Interact Club kids engaged!

It is with a bittersweet heart I sign off for the last time…….

Rotary brings people together and we unite each year with a new theme and energy that inspires us to do great things in service to our local and global communities. This year was another exceptional year of Service above Self with Rotary International President Ravi’s theme of Be a Gift to the World. We all brought our special talents and gifts to our projects and I would like to congratulate each of you for your efforts and a wonderful year!

As we traveled through-out District 7790 we enjoyed amazing hospitality and friendship in our club visits. The inspiring projects we saw were making a positive impact on communities and people’s lives everywhere we went. It truly was an honor and a privilege to serve as your District Governor and thank you for embracing the theme of Be HAPPY! It brought a special feeling and inspiration to our work this year!

I would also like to thank you for your support of the District Water & Sanitation project in Nicaragua and the Ecuador Earthquake Relief Fund. Your generosity and support of these projects is life changing and is much appreciated by our friends in these areas.

Membership is on an increase in our District this year in part because of all the exciting club and district projects and the increased effort in public relations and our membership committee. We also would like to welcome two new Satellite Clubs, Blue Hill in Maine and the BFC Valcartier Club in Quebec. These new additions to our Rotary family means we are able to expand the service work we do and reach more deeply into our communities. I encourage you all to continue to share your Rotary story and ask your family members, friends and co-workers to join us in Service and Fellowship!

I would also like to wish in-coming District Governor Jean-Louis and his team an exceptional year Serving Humanity and together pledge our support to them for a very successful year. This could be the year that Rotary has no new Polio cases and eradicates this disease for good! How exciting would that be!

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support, friendship and love this year and for all you do to make this a better world through the Service of Rotary. As we look back over the 2015-16 year we will have lasting memories of a truly amazing year. It is our wish that you continue to find your happiness in Being a Gift to the World!
