Weekly Bulletin

Dear Rotarians,

Our next meeting is an evening meeting at Pat's Pizza on Wednesday, November 2nd, at 5 PM. This will be a combination Evening and Board meeting. Items on the agenda include:

(1) Selecting officers for the next fiscal year

(2) Plans for a Holiday party

(3) Donation to the Thanksgiving basket project at the Congregational Church.

I hope to see you all there.

The club raised nearly $500 for Polio with the Ghostbusters movie event on Sunday, Oct. 23^rd. There were 44 in attendance for the movie, plus there were several other donations. Thanks to Susy for organizing this event and to those who helped.

Thanks to Marla O'Byrne from Island Housing Trust for her informative presentation at last week's meeting. The grilled BLT sandwiches at Atlantic Oceanside were delicious. We were happy to see Liz Cutler at the meeting. Note that if you haven't been to a meeting for a while, we will all be very happy to see you when you do attend.

The human touch
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Olena Morhun fled with three of her children and made her way to Puławy, Poland. There they were welcomed by Krystyna Wilczyńska-Ciemięga, one of many Rotary members who have opened their homes to refugees.
