Join us on Wednesdays at Noon, except for the first Wednesday of the month when we meet at 5:00 pm (check Facebook or the speakers list on this page for the location)
Birch Bay Village
1 Village Inn Rd
Bar Harbor,
ME 04609 United States
Our next meeting is an evening meeting at Bar-harbe-que, the new name of Pork Nation. The gathering begins at 5. I hope to see a lot of you there for this less formal meeting!
Many thanks to the phenomenal James Mroch for his classification talk last Wednesday and for Shaun Farrar filling in as Sargent at Arms when another meeting kept the busy Scott Hammond away. We also talked about updating our strategic plan this year. You all can access our last plan on the club’s website at this link.
If you’d like to volunteer for the Strategic Plan Steering Committee, please email me, and so many thanks to those of you who already have volunteered.
Finally, our new district governor Marcel Noel is visiting the club on August 15. Please come to this meeting if you can. It’s a great chance for us all to connect with Marcel and learn about the District Governor’s project. Spoiler: He is lovely. Second spoiler: His project is in Haiti. There will be a board meeting with Marcel at 11 a.m. on August 15. All Rotarians are always welcome to all board meetings; so feel free to attend.
I am looking for anyone interested in joining the Service Committee. Maybe you've served before, or maybe you're new to the club and want to do something awesome. This is a very important part of our club and all we do for our community AND beyond! If you’re interested, please email me. Let's get to work!!
The times we need help are: Wednesday, August 15th, from 4-5 pm and Saturday, August 18th, from 4-6 pm. Any help that Rotarians can give for either of those times would be greatly appreciated. If any Rotarians can help, please email Lee Bonta and let him know who you are and which time you can help.
