I’m in Virginia Beach writing this as I get ready to present at a Latkapallooza and some Chapter 1 schools, and it’s warm here. I’m not bragging! It’s just harder to get into the holiday spirit. But here goes. Please remember that the three pillars of Rotary are helping others, friendships, and networking. Every time we attend an event or meeting, every time we volunteer, we open up new opportunities for ourselves, gathering friends and networking while doing good, becoming informed, helping the community. I am so thankful for the friendships and opportunities Rotary has given me. I hope you are as well.
Holiday Party
But getting into the holiday spirit is the theme of this Rotary week and this message. On Wednesday, we have our holiday party at the Criterion at 5 p.m. It’s going to be a little different not being in a restaurant, but I’m positive that Susy and her crew of volunteers are going to make this a fantastic event, especially since the event is to help support the Criterion Theatre. You can bring a friend. There’s an auction organized by the fabulous Lisa. There are Rotarians. There are Criterions. There are Criterions who are Rotarians. Please bring a friend. The cost is similar to a lunch meeting ($13) with a suggested donation of ($10) for guests. The Criterion will be selling wine and beer.
