I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and are excited for our regular Wednesday meeting at Birch Bay (noon) featuring Dr. Vanessa Little Donaldson and her palliative care crew. I’m sorry for the lack of inspirational president’s message this week. I’m not feeling super inspirational at the moment. So, instead I’m just going to be informative.
President Search – Please let Susy know if you have an interest in serving as president after her term.
Happy/Sad Dollars for December – The money collected will be going to fire relief in Paradise, California. We have a couple of organizations suggested to receive funds. Please remember that the blue cups on the lunch tables are to collect change to help fight polio.
Holiday Party Update – Many thanks to Susy, Lisa, Aurora, Amy and Mark for their work on the holiday party, which is Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. at the Criterion. Proceeds go to the Criterion. There was originally talk about a movie after the event, but there is now a conflict with A.C.T., which is using the space for its last dress rehearsal. All proceeds from this fun night will benefit the theater. The event is open to the PUBLIC, and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. We will have food, drinks, a live auction, and a silent auction with some amazing local art, homemade items, jewelry, and local gift certificates.
