Join us on the first Wednesday of each month when we meet at 5 PM at Pat's Pizza, 6 Pleasant St., Bar Harbor. On the third Wednesday of the month, we meet at 12 PM at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel, 119 Eden St., Bar Harbor.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23rd, at 12 p.m. at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel. Since I am preparing this Bulletin before going on vacation, please call Jenn Tomlinson, Group Sales Manager at the hotel, at 288-2559 to find out the room location for the meeting.
Mary Mackay, our 2024 Golden Apple Award Recipient, will be speaking at our April 23rd meeting. Mary will give us an update about the Conners Emerson Science Olympiad Teams.
Nominations for our 2025 Golden Apple Award are being accepted now through May 24, 2025. The winner will receive a $1,000 honorarium and be celebrated for their dedication, passion, and impact in our schools. Nominations can come from colleagues, administrators, and community members. Email bhmdirotary@gmail.com for the nomination form.
We had a productive breakfast meeting on April 16th at Everyday Joe's where we discussed the following upcoming events:
ADVENTURE GOLF TOURNAMENT SATURDAY, MAY 17TH: Scott Hammond will follow up with any details needed to gather sponsors. If you have any ideas of folks to contact to sponsor holes, please send them Scott's way.
YMCA HEALTHY KIDS: We voted to sponsor the YMCA's Healthy Kids Day 2025 which you can read more about here. Our sponsorship will include a banner at the Y, and our club name will be on their branded T shirts.
CAMP CAPELLA: Ron Wrobel received a letter from Camp Capella Executive Director Melanie Dresser, who spoke to our club a few years ago. Melanie offered to come and speak again. If there are no objections, Annette and Evelyn will look ahead and coordinate a date for her to speak at one of our future meetings.
