Our annual meeting at Jack Russell’s Carriage House is on June 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. It’s a great time to catch up and honor each other and check out the new Carriage House. There will be no regular Wednesday lunch meeting on that date.
Our last evening meeting at Bar Harbor Lobster Company on Main Street in Bar Harbor was absolutely wonderful! Thank you to Colleen Maynard for setting it up.
This Wednesday, we’ll be talking about ShelterBox. According to its website, “In 2012, ShelterBox became Rotary International’s first Project Partner and remains the only disaster relief charity. This agreement enables both organizations to collaborate more closely to bring relief and temporary shelter to survivors of disasters worldwide. The project partnership has built on both organization’s strengths in responding to disasters all over the world.”
Last night, I was on a long conference call about the
2020 District Conference, which will be held at the Samoset Resort. Incoming District Governor Suzanne Melanson will be here in July meeting with our new board and talking to the club. For more information about dates for all our speakers, check out our club’s website at

Polio Prescription Bottles
Don’t forget that we have a new method of collecting money for polio eradication via the prescription bottles available at the meetings. Just fill them with change, return, and you’ve helped save a life. All the money we raise is matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
