Hello fellow Rotarians & Happy summer!

This Wednesday, June 9th at Noon we will hear from Teodor Johansen of American Aquafarms. The Norwegian backed company plans to launch a floating, closed-containment aquaculture production system in Maine. This will certainly be an informative talk! Please watch your email for Zoom details.

The next Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday of this week, and it will be my last before handing over the reins to Lisa. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to the Board who served alongside me this past year. This has been a year like no other in our collective history, and you distinguished yourselves as judicious stewards of our Club and never flinched in the face of difficult decisions. I would not have made it through this year without your wise counsel. Thank you!

If any of you have a desire to support your Club as these volunteers have done, we are still seeking a President-Elect for Lisa’s year. The year as President-Elect is one spent in preparation and in support of the current President. The year of planning before you take office is crucial to achieving the objectives you set out for the Club. Therefore, it is important that we name someone soon, so our incoming President for the 2022-2023 is fully prepared and can ease into their responsibilities. My year as President-Elect was one of my favorites, and I especially enjoyed the training opportunities and getting to know my counterparts across the district. If you are considering volunteering and would like to chat about my experience and expectations for the role, please do not hesitate to reach out!
