Upcoming Events

Hello there,

I thought that I would simply take a moment to speak of upcoming events, all of them exciting, I am sure!

JUNE – Just another reminder that June is our month at the Food Pantry. I have not heard from Judith lately, but if you have some free time, please check with her and see if she has any needs. Thank you!

Wednesday, June 7, our evening meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Pat’s Pizza in Bar Harbor. As nice as it was to have an evening meeting at Galyn’s, the restaurant can no longer host us until November. Besides, Pat’s is the only evening meeting venue where you can get fed enough food for your 5 bucks that it actually feels like a meal. Enjoy!

Wednesday, June 14, is our regular (not that any of our meetings are regular) afternoon meeting. However, this date is tentatively set aside for a Club Assembly for Seafood Festival preparation, so we all should attend! We’ll also be presenting our Paul Harris Fellowship (for someone who is not a Rotarian) at the meeting.

Wednesday, June 21, at the Kebo Valley Golf Course clubhouse, we will be holding our annual Rotary Club dinner. Please forgive me if that is not the correct title, but it is the one where the changing of the guard occurs. I cannot remember the start time, but I am sure that there will be many announcements between now and then.

Saturday, June 17, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the Bar Harbor Congregational Church is hosting a “freecycle” event and our club is providing volunteer support. Avail yourself to “new,” free stuff or volunteer. For more details, keep reading the press release below.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend either the June 7thevening meeting or the June 14th Club Assembly. Carrie and I will be in South Carolina, for Emily’s graduation from basic training and then Georgia, attending the Rotary International Annual Conference. Do not despair, you will be in the great hands of President-Elect Steve Boucher. Please have fun, enjoy and we are sorry to miss the meetings!
