Join us Wednesdays at Noon, at Atlantic Oceanside Hotel in Bar Harbor, except for the first Wednesday of each month when we meet at Pat's Pizza in Bar Harbor. If you attend in person, please be vaccinated.
I am happy to say we made it back home from Europe safe and sound, if a little wilted. It was touch and go getting through London Heathrow, but we made it on to our Boston flight with minutes to spare! As a bonus, we were picked up at Logan by former Bar Harbor Rotarian Mike Bonsey, who put us up for the night before our drive home on Saturday. It is always great to get away, and just as great to return home (though it seems summer heat has arrived here as well).
I am pleased to join you all this Wednesday at the Atlantic Oceanside at noon. We will be having a club assembly to discuss our new process for finding speakers. In the new year, we will be assigning all of you a week to bring a speaker. As well as spreading the responsibility, this will broaden the types of people and topics we hear about. So if you want to have some input into the process, please come on Wednesday.
Also, Dean and Penny Read have agreed to host us for our monthly evening meeting on Wednesday August 3, and we will be discussing that as well. We want your advice on how best to reach out and get a great turnout. Our primary goal for the new year is to re-engage members through fellowship and service. I hope to see you on Wednesday.
