Congratulations to Dean Read for successfully organizing yet another Cadillac Century Challenge Bike Race. I was lucky enough to take some pictures of the event, and I’m pretty sure that Tommy Parham manned a water table.
Speaking of manning a water table, come join us this Sunday at the MDI Marathon. We’ll be staffing the Mile 18 Fluids Station, which is located on Route 198 at the Old School House / MDI Historical Society. We’ll be there from 8 – 1. Come stop by and help us. Even if it’s just for an hour. It’s a whole lot of fun and we need your help!
Many thanks to Jim Mroch and Jenny Jones for organizing this week’s speaker, MDI Bio Laboratory Director Hermann Haller! That will be this Wednesday at noon at Birch Bay. We’re going to have a couple of get-well cards for people to sign during the meeting due to the illnesses of some of our members.
Soon, Susy Del Cid Papadopoli will be putting her slate in for the next Rotary board. I hope that if you have an interest in leadership, you’ll let Susy know. And in the meantime, our club needs help with:
